Please, don't stare.

I know you don't care.

Can you spare a dime? I promise I won't buy any beer.

Don't judged me. You don't know how I got here.

You don't understand the pain in losing your job, your wife, and all dignity.

There is so much more to me than what you see.

I have not eaten in 3 days.

Yet you gossip about my lazy and criminal ways.

Criminals always have plenty to eat.

I have no food, no shoes for my feet.

Tomorrow it could be you forced to live on the street.

It could be you begging and being bashed by all you meet.

So next time you see a dirty bum please, ask them how they got there.

Show them you care.
