I'm free

I'm free

The man I wanted to marry

Went off & didn't marry me!

It's now clear, without a doubt

He didn't want me.

For years he was my fantasy

As he haunted my night

And my day dreams

Lingered in every love song

Was 'around' for so long.

But now the deed is done

He's walked down the aisle

Sworn before God

Become one with someone

So my haunting must be done.

My mind has won

It knew all along

My ego is shouting:

Glory halleluja!

Surely now my soul must know

It has to let go.

The man is taken

No longer solo

He's chosen someone else

Til death do them part.

I'm sorry, my dear broken heart

But now it's truth

He genuinely rejected you

As to his heart he had to be true.

Now be free

No more depression

No more anxiety

Open up to all those

Who genuinely love you.

Your soul now has its moral reason

To move on

To let go

Finally

Halleluja

Amen.

Now let it be so
