I BREATHE

It came to pass this afternoon,

As I walked through pastures green

Beside a setting sun;

That every soft blade beneath my feet

Had its own shadow;

It's own place in the sun,

It's life; helping me to breathe.

The leaves of the trees above me;

Changing colour, changing face,

Each filling part of heaven,

Helping me breathe again.

The wind playing with the air around me;

Cool and free.

Enrapturing me exquisitely;

So simply, I breathe...
