Kept in by Rain

Poem by: Shannan Browne
Sitting in my classroom,
Rain outside my door,
It's falling rather heavily;
Strong and calm and sure.
It makes indoors compulsory,
God's heavenly downpour,
No playtime to be had,
No sun shining out the door.
Watching through the window,
Seeing the clouds release;
It's ok being in the classroom,
When the sounds give such peace.
