I’ve always thought that love was complimented the best in the olden days like in those timeless black and white movies where the women were sophisticated and classy, and the men were charming and witty. The music was romantic and strangers danced in the rain down the street. When love letters were written on scented paper then sealed with a kiss and sent to war. How do you compare love from the 21st century with that? When now woman speak like men and men act like woman. Music is made by computers and romance is sent via txt message. Letters are now replaced by email and instead of being asked to dance it's now more common to be asked for your number instead. But tonight as I traced my fingers over Charlie's back, connecting the freckles from dot to dot. And while I stared at that sun kissed skin which reminded me of our days in summer as I softly whispered \" Are u still awake?\" I didn’t feel the urge to compare us with those scenes from movies that are shot so purposely you are forced to question your own love life. The parts where the script is nothing short of genius and you hopelessly stare at the television as two perfect characters find each other by a devine act of fate while their symphony of love unfolds so artistically, that you can almost feel the heat between them and taste the wine on their lips. But as I enjoy the silence and hold Charlie in my arms, I realised that Love hasn't died, for it can't. Love is infinite, and exists because nothing of its opposite could exist without it. It simply transforms, and re invents itself through the ages of individual and social perception. Love is the blood stained sheet of a newborn baby, it's wars fought, won or lost to defend its name, it's the desperateness of flies in the rain, battling in a fight for life or death, just to return to their dead feaces. And of course it's the painful longing in the heart of the hopeless romantic, who plans a whole life of children and wedding bells, after a simple hand shake of someone whom they were introduced minutes earlier. So what did I realise? I realised that love has transformed, and all of us that are living right now must find how it moulds with our sense of perception. Sure love can't die, but you can kill it within yourself.
