A short poem about my fight with myself; head and heart in conflict.

I need to practise what I preach, concentrate my thoughts

Strain my brain to teach what my body needs to be taught

Focus energies on what is needed not desired

Produce a persona that I can admire

Eradicate qualities in me which I criticise in others

Understand the individual in which my face covers

Reach the level in which my ego portrays

By seeking my own true moralistic ways

Falling is an act disliked by me

As it’s so easy to hit the bottom

To stop the fall may seem easy

Yet keeping balance depends on being head strong.

The argument of my main organs jar me

I know who is right yet can’t follow the route before me

Why is it so difficult following one’s head?

The undiluted logic with no feelings to blind it

Should be enough to conclude it.
