Destroying your own hope is only for the weak

But the weak have to be strong in order to seek

this hope that has gone and hidden from sight

a virtue that is needed in order to win this fight

Without hope, faith isn’t around either

So without one you will have neither

Accomplishing this game we call life

One will need the ability to strive

The devil is just a noun posing for an adjective

Evil is the obstacle making us forget the virtues to live

Addictions, over use and abuse of any substance

Balance is needed in order for our real chance

Knowing is one thing, understanding is another

Forgetting is easy when thoughts are a bother

twisted in favour of that adjective that kills virtues

the mind needs to have strength to carry the body through its dues

This obligation one may call life

Should uncover its meaning to those in strife

Then guides we may have to lead us

Though this labyrinth of experience
