A short poem written about feelings of restrictions and an uncontrollable fate.

It’s a mystery this life I lead,

I will literally be the death of me,

No clue on the truth I seek

Dismissing the signs, viewed as meek.

Perpetrating as a spiritual soul

‘knowing’ the road towards the goal

Yet following nothing but a faraway thought

that changes with the lessons I’m taught

Confusion over this illusion I call life

A fusion of situations only ending in hassle and strife

A conclusion is disillusioned as no-one has solutions.

Why can’t I stick to one road, one thought, one role to be self-controlled

And not subjected to life as a puppeteer doll,

Being persuaded how to think and feel,

I shouldn’t listen, it’s not real,

So why crave these materials?

I follow the road, the thoughts, the roles, uncontrolled, leading to that hoard of gold

By being a perfect mould, my soul is sold.

A systematic slave to the trade, of souls, towards roles that are manmade,

Living to accomplish nothing but assets

That are used and abused as threats

To be taken from you as debts

Then owing nothing but regrets.

The green greed of the paper man

Just to posses your land

Will strip you where you stand

Coz you owed him your hand,

So you be damned.
