Escaping Another Day

By SheaRyhai © 2009

Come away

I don’t want to lose you

To the words they say.

Won’t you run away with me?

Bitter day

Always working, pressed down

With no time to play.

Won’t you hide away with me?

Turn the lights out,

Close the curtains, shut the world outside.

Rest you’ll burn out,

Just lay here while I hold you, everything’s all right.

Stay here for a while with me.

Bills to pay

Always sacrificing to get

Through another day.

Is it enough to be with me?

World of gray

Trying to bring a smile

Stuck by this delay.

We can make it you and me.

Just surround me,

We can get through the bad days and the good.

No man is really free,

Freedoms just a dream for those who could.

Promise to always fly with me.
