Sometimes
I sing as loud as I can to anyone who's bothered to listen.
Sometimes
I spill my heart onto pages so it can be read by awaiting eyes.
Sometimes
I can feel a person's empathy taking over me and healing my soul.
Sometimes
I like to believe that I can do anything and fly as high as the stars.

But most of the time
I listen to the melody of a keyless piano.
I read the words of a broken soul.
I step into the shoes of an overthrown king.
I oil the wings of a wounded bird.
