I lay my head upon the ground,
And I heard a sweet sound.

Sounds of angels' glorious song,
Mixed with a great big bong.

From the heavens desended an angel,
Barring the news of a great battle.

"Blood shall be shed this day,
When all the lands turn gray."

When the clock struck three,
I jumped up and looked towards a tree.

My chance of greatness, valor, and golory,
Came with heroism and fountians of gold.

Years pass, ages change, I no longer hear the song once sang.

There I lay,
Withered and gray,
With Death's gaze upon this day.

Once again, for the last time,
I hear the angels' voices sing.
