read and you will see

When the door is slammed and silence remain

Rage envelopes and overshadows the pain

It pushes your hand, shattering all control

Emotions contort and pierce your soul

It is so much, you can’t help but let go

It leaks away and washes your body cold

The hurt is reflected in its crystal clear light

Emanating the remnants of what’s not in sight

Purging the inside, flowing in a straight line

The sea of feelings that were so entwined

Its presence is noticeable but it’s hidden behind closed doors

It floods the space and washes the tiled floor

The storm subsides and hinder for a while;

Which is usually followed by a relieved sigh

The new journey begins after the flood has cleared

The pain is still there but of the weight you were speared

Understanding and acceptance are now present in your blood stained eyes

The rain is done falling, look forward to clear skies

This was breathtaking. I am sorry I was unable to get back to you sooner, but I was traveling and when I got back home my city was in the middle of a snow storm and the electricity got caught off.

The way you've simply and elegantly depicted such beautiful words and emotions and how your entire poem was constructed is simply amazing.

AWWWW i LOVE it! I think this one is one of ur best everr!!!! And i love the ending bc i hate it when poems write about things like this and it somehow ends in death. like some can pull it off but i think its better to realize a new day will come if u just stayed strong!!!! This poem hit a heart string in me, loved it!!!!

Felipe Lima

What a beautiful piece you got here Sherika. I'm completely astonished with what I read. It's powerful, it's painful, it's true... You got describe so perfectly the way people see thing in red when they lost and do things that they may regret later... You got my "I Like It" vote. Great job!

Best Regards
Felipe :]
