Draco's POV

"Oy, Potter! You trying out for the "Ugliest Looking Rat" Club? I think you might make it!" I yelled as Potter and his friends passed my group- Me, Goyle, Crabbe, Pansy, and other Slytherin 5th years. Potter and his two sidekicks completely ignored me, not even twitching at the sound of my voice. I gritted my teeth.

Annoying Potter and his friends were one of the best things about coming to this school, Hogwarts. I'd love to see Potter and/or Weasley get in trouble for something. I just laughed at a joke Zabini told, and hurried off to Potions as the bell signaled for our last class of the day. I took a shortcut to the dungeons, coming to the classroom door before Potter. I sneered at him.

"Well well, isn't it Saint Potter and his sidekicks," I said, my lip curling up in a grin.

"Just shut up for once, Malfoy,"Harry said exasperated. I narrowed my eyes at him. As I opened my mouth to utter another insult, Professor Snape came right around a corner and appeared. I closed it, feeling slightly disappointed. Couldn't he have waited for another few seconds?

I hurried into the classroom, taking my seat at my usual table. I felt vaguely annoyed. Why though? I thought, slamming my cauldron on the floor. I looked up to wait impatiently for Professor Snape's instructions for the day. I saw him glance at me with the tiniest flicker of emotion on his face, but before I could tell what it was, he already looked away.

"You are to brew a...L-Love Potion today..." Snape said, curling his lip in disgust. The class stared in disbelief at the Professor. A love potion? What the hell?"The High Inquisitor wishes for me to teach you to brew that particular potion. Why, I do not know. Love potions are usually banned from Hogwarts, but she said it was,"Ministry approved"...However, that doesn't change how I feel about it, so as soon as you all brew this potion, you are to empty your cauldron after filling the flasks immediately, no exceptions. If you do not, you will lose 50 House points, and have two days of detention...This will be graded," he continued. He glanced around the room, taking a moment to glare at Harry before moving on.

"The instructions are written on the board-" he flicked his wand and words appeared on a black board-" ingrediants are in the cupboard-" the cupboard swung open-"Proceed," he instructed.

The class all stayed stil for a moment, trying to process what he said. Hermione was the first to get up, and soon after, the rest of the students got up. A little more than annoyed, I grabbed the ingrediants and sat back down. This is a waste of time, I thought bitterly. I could be doing something else.

I sat there for a moment, thinking of a way to get Potter. With this love potion, I could just sneak a a flask, and slip it into Potter's... But I also could get caught, and I'm sure Professor Snape isn't going to be too kind about it. Maybe take 40 points instead of 50, and give me less harsh detention, but I still don't want to be the one in trouble. I sat there, contemplating whether Potter is worth the trouble. I just have to not get caught, I thought. I then smiled wickedly as I came up with a plan.************

I was filling up my flask of completed Love Potion, positive that it was perfect, and that I'll get an Outstanding for my grade. As I was filling up the flask, I whispered my command to Crabbe, who's supposed to set off a Fillibuster firecracker and aim it at Weasley's cauldron. He tossed it so fast and had I not known what he was throwing, I wouldn't have known it was thrown. The distraction was all I needed. Weasley's cauldron exploed, showering him and Granger with the potion he brewed. I ducked my head to fill another flask and after it was full, I slipped it into my robe, laughing as I came up.

I held my first flask in my hand, and emptied the cauldron of its contents. I bent down to Crabbe and whispered,"Good job!" He nodded stupidly, and I struggled to not roll my eyes. I was feeling victorious as if I beat Potter in a Quidditch match.

"Whoever caused this will have a weeks worth of detention and will lose 50 points when they are caught," Snape said maliciously, his black eyes glinting. "Come," he said, beckoning to his desk. I stood up and stand behind other students lining up to give Snape their flasks. I handed him mine, him giving me a nod in acknowledgment. I nodded my head respectfully back, and strode back to my seat, grinning.

I glanced towards Potter, and was surprised to see him glaring at me. "What?" I mouthed in fake innocence. His expression turned to outrage.

"You did this to Ron!" he mouthed furiously. I rolled my eyes.

"I did not!" I mouthed back. "Crabbe did," I added. Harry looked at Crabbe, he was in line, ready to give Snape a foul-smelling, light green potion that was sure to get a T. Harry grimaced, and glanced at me again. He narrowed his eyes. I rolled my eyes at him and turned my attention to my bag.

As I was zipping the bag, the bell signaled for the end of the day. I hurried and was one of the first out. I felt a hand on my shoulder, and turned to see Potter's face close to mine. I took a step back. "What?" I said roughly, needing time to plan my attack on Potter.

"I know you planned it. And I'll make sure Ron and I will get revenge," he said. I narowed my eyes at him.

"Really? What proof do you have? Just a mere theory? And I'd like to see you try," I said the last part softly and took a step closer to Harry. He just narrowerd his eyes and stalked after Weasley, glancing back towards me twice. I stood rooted to the spot, wondering why in the hell did I feel sparks between us when he touched my shoulder.**********

I was sitting on a soft cushioned chair in the Slytherin common room. I had my hand on my chin, deep in thought on how to slip the potion into Potter's cup. It's not like I can just go in there where Potter's sitting and just slip a drop or two into his cup without anyone noticing.

"Draco, what're yeh thinkin' about?" Crabbe's annoyingly stupid voice broke into my thoughts about Potter's face close to mine.

"Nothing," I snapped.

"C'mon, no one makes a face like that and can't be thinkin' about nothin'," he said. I glanced sideways at him. I sighed.

"I took an extra flask of Love Potion to prank Potter," I said. "I just need to get the potion in his drink without anyone noticing," I explained. Crabbe looked like he was thinking, which is rare.

"Why don't you go to the kitchens and ask a house elf to do it?" he suggested. I gaped open-mouthed at him. How could anyone so stupid come up with a plan like that? I thought.

"Brilliant Crabbe! That's really brilliant! C'mon, we gotta go now while they're making dinner!" I said, jumping up. We hurried out of our common room and ran towards the Hufflepuff corridor.

I saw the painting with the fruit bowl, the entrance to the kitchens. I entered, and saw a bunch of houselves making dinner. I looked around, and spotted a house elf arranging drinks.

"Hello there," I said politely, making the houself jump.

"Hello there, sir! How may I be of service?" the house elf bowed.

"I need you to slip a few drops of this into a drink," I explained. "Don't worry, it isn't poison, you can test for yourself, though I don't advise it...Anyways, I need you to make sure this goes into a certain person's drink, if that is possible," I said. The house elf's brown eyes were round.

"Tis not impossible sir...W-Who is the person you wish for me to add this drink to?" he asked in his squeaky voice.

"I want you to put it in Harry Potter's drink. It won't do any harm to him, I assure you," I smiled. The house elf hesitated. Then he nodded. "Great! Oh, don't tell anyone I told you to put it in his drink, ok? No one should know," I said seriously. He nodded again. I smiled. "Thank you," and walked out of the kitchens.**********

I was sitting in the Great Hall, nervously fidgeting and sneaking glances at Harry. I barely touched my meal, too queasy to eat. I was nervous because I'm afraid my plan will backfire. I barely paid attention to what was going on at my own table, only watching Potter.

I watched as he took a sip from his cup. He laughed at what Ron was saying. I frowned. Did it not work? I thought. Then I saw his eyes glaze over, and he glanced in my direction. I froze.

He cocked his head to the side, and grinned. He stood up so fast he almost fell, and he ran from his table to mine, making the Hall go quiet and attracting a lot of looks from students and teachers. He marched right up to me and flopped himself down on the bench beside me, grinning like a fool.

"Hi Draco!" Harry said breathlessly, waving. Face blood red, I waved hesitantly back. I really did not expect him to act this stupid, I thought. Crabbe and Goyle were both gaping at Potter. "Um, Potter, you're not allowed at our table. Now, go," I tried to be firm, but I think I failed because I was close to tears of laughter.

His face fell, looking greatly saddened and rejected.

"Ok...Can I come over here and sit with you tomorrow? And the next day? We should stay together! I love you Draco!" he said, hugging me right in front of the whole school, and he grinned and walked away back to the Gryffindor table. I stared in shock after him.

"E-excuse me," I stammered, covering my mouth and ran out of the Hall. As soon as I was out of the Hall, I bursted out laughing. My laughter echoed off the walls, and suddenly I was on my hands and knees, clutching my stomach. I couldn't stop. I had tears flowing down my reddened cheeks, my hair disheveled. I was laughing so hard that it almost hurt my throat. I didn't hear the door open and didn't see Professor Snape come out of the Great Hall.

I felt a cool hand on my shoulder, and turned to see Professor Snape standing with concern on his face.

"Draco, are you feeling well?" he asked. I was able to stop laughing and I answered,"Y-yes Professor, I'm alright."

He frowned, and before he could say anything Harry came out.

"What happened! What's wrong with Co-Co?" Harry asked concerned. I looked at him sharply.

"Co-Co?" I repeated. He grinned.

"Yes, that's your nickname, Co-Co. You'll always be my Co-Co!" he exclaimed, throwing his arms around my neck. I grabbed his wrists and pulled them away, pushing him back.

"I am NOT your Co-Co," I sneered. My heart wasn't in the sneer. I was embarassed for some reason, and my heart skipped a beat when he threw his arms around me. I blushing. Harry just smiled and walked away towards the Gryffindor tower. I watched him with a disgusted look on my face.

"Co-Co, eh?" Snape said, snickering. I looked at him sharply.

"It's not funny. Sir," I added. He sniggered more broadly now, laughing as he walked away. I glanced at the Hall. People were lined up behind it, staring at me in shock and glee. Ron had a disbelief expression on his face. Granger just looked frightened, as if she thought Harry was mad. I sighed and stomped back to the Slytherin common room.

"Draco?" Crabbe said hesitantly as he poked his head into the dormitory. I was laying on top of the green and silver blankets, my hands clasped together under my head.

"What?" I said rather harshly. I saw him gulp.

"Um...What exactly...Happened between y-you and Potter?" he asked. I breathed heavily through my nostrils. Then I sighed.

"It's the effects of the Love Potion, no doubt," I finally answered. I glanced sideways at Crabbe. He looked doubtful. "What, you have a better explanation?" I asked.

He shrugged. "No," he said. I rolled my eyes and laid back against the pillow. I'm actually surprised Snape didn't question me or anything. He's bound to know that Potter's under the Love Potion. He should've noticed that Potter, who hates my guts, suddenly had a liking for me. In an intimate way. I blushed again at how much I really liked that intimate way.

I shook my head. No! You are NOT in love with Potter! You hate him, remember? And besides, he's a boy! He's off limits! My mind screamed at me. I groaned and turned to my side, trying to stray my thoughts elsewhere. Elsewhere, they went. I was suddenly focusing on the thought of how it felt when Potter touched me twice today. It felt all tingly, and the thought made me blush again. I also thought of how close his face was to mine. It was too close. And I imagined him getting closer, and-

"Noooooooo!" I roared, sitting straight up in my bed. Panting, I looked around the very dark room. It was a dream, I thought with relief.

"Draco? What on earth are you yelling about?" Zabini.

"Draco! Are you okay man?" Goyle. Skriiiiiiish. My curtains must've opened, because someone's hands suddenly grabbed my waist and pulled me out of the bed. "Arrrrgh! Let go of m-!" my voice was suddenly muffled by a hand.

"Draco! Stop fightin'! It's me, Crabbe!" Crabbe said. I stopped fighting, untensing. "Damn, you're sweaty. What did you dream 'bout?" he said.

"Nothing," I said. A candle was suddenly lit, casting ghostly shadows around the room. It was Zabini, holding a candle and walking in my direction.

"Draco, you look freaked out. You can tell us, you know," he said. I snorted. Yeah, right. Like you won't tell everybody, including Snape. That'll be a real treat, everyone thinking I must've cracked, dreaming about kissing Potter.

"Look, it's just a bad dream, nothing to worry about. Now, let's-let's get back to bed, shall we?" I suggested, changing out of my robes and into my pajamas. I threw myself back into bed.

The candle was put out, and everyone said "Night," before the room was silent once more.************

The next morning, everyone whom I shared the dorm with kept shooting worried glances at me, as if I might suddenly go mad. I just ignored them.

"Draco? You look kinda pale today," Pans Parkinson said. I waved her concern away.

"It's nothing. I just didn't get enough sleep, that's all," I said. The whole dorm group glanced at me at once, their expressions saying otherwise. "Why are you staring at me?" I snapped, rasing an eyebrow.

They all shrugged and went back to their breakfast. The double doors to the Great Hall suddenly slammed open, revealing Harry Potter running into the Hall. Everyone stopped and stared. Harry looked around the room, and, spotting me, ran over to my table, grinning widely. I groaned. Not again...

"Good morning, Co-Co!" he exclaimed, shoving Crabbe aside and sitting down beside me. I stared at him. "Here, say 'Ah"! he said, holding up a spoonful of porridge and trying to feed me with it.

"First of all, I'm not "Co-Co," I said, pushing his hand away."Second, you're not supposed to sit at this table, now go back to the Gryfindor table." Hary pouted. He actually pouted.

"Fine. I'll go. But I still love you!" he said, giving me a hug before going back to Gryffindor table. I could feel the heat on my face. Goyle coughed, trying to hide his laughter. Then the Great Hall erupted into whisperes.

"Harry Potter loves Draco Malfoy?"

"Those two are together? Seriously?"

I sighed and got up, making an excuse for leaving breakfast so early. Harry, seeing me get up, got up too, walking away from his table. I walked faster, not wanting to be anywhere near him. He walked faster. "Draco, wait up!" he said. I couldn't take it. I sprinted.

"Draco, WAIT!" Harry said, tackling me in the process.

"Argh!" I screamed, falling down with Harry on top of me. I was laying on floor in the Great Hall, with Harry lying on top of me. I could imagine what many of the students were thinking.

"Gotcha!" Harry said, smiling in triumph. I looked up into his eyes, suddenly scared of what might happen next. I'm afraid that I won't be able to restrain myself. I took deep breaths, trying to ignore his scent of soap. I settled for a glare and annoyance on my face.

"Get off me" I snapped, throwing him off. The reaction surprised him, so it worked. I got up, my face tomato red, and walked out of the room as fast as I can.
