There he was in my dreams
Of my scented nights but full of space
Turning down to search for the kisses
With bafflement as to drinking an expensive wine
Aloofness in your eyes was dazing me though
From a distance, I skulked toward the pit
Asked you to catch me, trusting you infinitely and hoping
I tasted the bitterness in your glacial stare from the dark
No wonder I’ll die if I let myself step and fall
To a man who never pleads and will never turn
I regret my gestures for the paleness of thee heart
Now drifting away as you blur mincingly like raindrops
The hunger inside weakened when I look away
Feeling the lost mindfulness and imaginable acceptance
An ending was given and I refused no more.
