Sage Ovesque's world runs on irregularity. Everyone has to be different, or they are taken. The buildings change location and shape daily, and robots roam the streets searching for similarities. One week of the year people are allowed to be similar. Sage plans to make that week worthwhile.

She has a secret that could either save or ruin her life, and she wants to use it to make things right. Her eyes can change their color, taking on whatever strong emotion she has. She can affect other’s feelings, and make people and objects disappear. Only Sage knew about it, and it terrified her.

Now, August and Ewan Hales could put an end to her secrecy. The brothers are possibly the only people who know about Sage’s ability. Sage doesn’t want to see either one of them again after a run- in with the city Centers. However, when Ewan is taken off the streets, she finds herself being dragged into a suicidal rescue mission.
