Humans are complicated: Some care only about money when they’re bank is already filled with loads of bills. Some humans hold great hatred towards other innocent humans. Many humans are constantly worrying for no reason. “She’s more popular than me!” or “I need a boyfriend!” they keep whining. While these ignorant humans are acting spoiled many humans are working hard only to feed their families. Each and every human is so unpredictable that I can’t seem to match any two humans as the same. Some are very similar to each other but no two humans are exactly the same. Some look immensely alike, but their personalities seem to clash! I’m so confused Some Humans are so full of rudeness: Today I bumped into one horrible human. With his refined appearance: black suit, a tie that stuck to his chest to straight that I was almost certain that someone had ironed it at least several times, and jet black polished dress-shoes, the man looked quite sophisticated. But his actions screamed otherwise. He didn’t even apologize, instead he scowled at me. As he walked out the glass door of the building I saw his wallet had dropped. I rushed out the door and yelled for the man to stop. He turned and the scowl returned on his handsome face. He walked, or should I say stomped towards me and snatched the wallet out of my hands. He then stomped back to his car and harshly slammed the car door after getting in. I stood there dumbfounded as to what had just happened. It all happened so fast that I almost forgot to breathe (not that I needed the breaths). After I finally regained myself, I became furious. Rude! Rude, is the only word that came to my mind. Some humans have absolutely no manners. Some Humans are so darn cute: I sighed as I walked out of the strange human café. It was merely my first day and I was already homesick. Humans didn’t attract me from the beginning but after coming here I’m sure they are definitely not friendly people. Just as I was about to stop a black and yellow car like other people were doing, I felt a tug at my jeans. I looked down and saw a little human. It, I mean she looked lost. “Help me.” She said, more like squeaked. I bent down and carried her. “Where is your mother little human?” I spoke for the first time that day. The said human giggled and her pale cheeks turned pinkish. Was this what humans called blushing? “You talk funny. But you look like daddy. So handsome!” she squeaked and started giggling again. I smiled a real smile, also for the first time that day. I guess all humans weren’t all that bad. “Thank you little human. Now tell me where your mother is.” I asked again. At the word mother she started bawling again. “I d-d-don’t know. Mommy l-l-left m-me!” she tried to speak while tears ran down her small face. Her cheeks were now fully colored from the tears and the cold wind. “Shh. It’s okay. We’ll find her together.” I said trying to comfort the little human but inside I knew that I would be just as clueless as she was when it came to searching. Suddenly a loud scream pierced my ears. The little human turned to see where it came from and started to scream insanely loudly too. “MOMMY!!! MOMMY!!” the little human yelled louder than the first piercing scream. “DIANA! DIANA! I FOUND YOU!” the woman that screamed previously started to pierce my ears again. I hurriedly let the little human down before she made my ears literally fall off and they ran to each other and hugged like there was no tomorrow. By now, other humans were giving these two the weird eye but they carried on with their business. “Mommy, he helped me. He’s handsome isn’t he?!” the little human giggled, blushing hard as she pointed to me. Aww! Could this kid get any cuter? Some humans are beautiful: The said lady turned her head to look at me. When our eyes met I literally lost my breath. My heart felt like it was going to explode. My ability started its job and I began to analyze her. Her feet were kept warm by strange boots with the word UGGS on the back. Her long legs were flawless and looked ever so smooth. Her knee length dress had little polka-dots on them and her dark hair was pulled into a bun. She looked stunning yet simple. “Ahem.” The lady human brought me back. “Ah… yes?” I said trying to sound as not awkward as can be. “Thanks for helping my babe. I owe you.” The human spoke in slang as I was once again amazed; now by her soft voice. “Uh. Yeah. No problem. Babe was nice to me too.” I said trying to compliment her child; I assume her name was Babe. “Babe?” she raised an eyebrow at me and looked at me like I was an alien; which I am. That’s when I realized that the mother had called her child Diana so her name must be Diana. Darn! Babe was probably a title. How hopeless can I get? “I mean Diana. Hahaha” I tried to laugh it out. “Yeah okay then. Nice meeting you… Mr.?” she held out her hand and asked me my name. “Oh I’m uh… Jill.” I blurted out after trying to think of an “earthly” name. As soon as it came out I regretted it because it was a girl name. Oh God! Kill me now! “Umm… okay Jill, thanks again. Goodbye.” The lady human said before taking her hand away and instead intertwining it with Diana’s. They both walked away while I simply watched them –correction- watched the lady, A reason to stay: I stayed watching their outline until it disappeared completely. I realized I had grown out of my dislike for humans. I had almost started to love one. The human lady, I knew, wouldn’t leave my heart soon if I went back now. Hence, I found a reason to stay. I vowed to myself to find Diana’s mom again one day and find out her name. I vowed to tell her who I am and how I feel. “You look like Daddy…” Diana’s words rung in my head. If they Diana had a dad that meant the lady human had a husband… I felt my heart squeeze but I did not give up. “I won’t leave until you’re mine.” Humans might be ignorant, selfish, rude, but some are cute, beautiful and kind. Humans and my kind don’t have many differences. We’re all just trying to live our lives. I want to live mine with you, Diana’s mom. And one day I will. I promise. Until then I will wait. Let’s let fate decide the rest of my life on earth… as an alien.
