As I stand in the trench,

I see the enemy draw near.

I feel death's heart frezzing touch on my shoulder.

As I build up my courage the whistle blows.

I storm out of the trench in fright,

I run towards no mans land.

I fall,

Now im down and its my end my life falshes before my eyes.

I feel I've done the right thing for me my family and friends and most important my country,

as the years go past I rest in peace.

On the 11th of the 11th every  year my family places a poppy on my grave to show me they wont forget me .
