This poem is about a middle-aged english man who deci
des to go out with some friends and have a few beers, then drive on his way home. The consequences are awful. This is a shock poem, designed to get people to pay attention to just what could happen, even if you've only had one beer...

I'm going down the pub love,

With some mates to have a brew;

Don't worry about me driving,

I'll only have a few.

See? Now I'm on our street love,

And my concentration's fine;

I told you I would be okay,

Look out the window and you'll see that I'm--

I can't believe what's happened love,

I think I'm going to gurl;

I was almost at our house love,

Then I hit a little girl.

Please don't cry love,

I'm sure it will all be fine;

The police just want me for questioning,

I should be home by nine.

Prison is a disaster love,

I think i'm going to hurl;

I really regret that night,

When I hit that little girl.

I feel like my life is a mess love,

and I hope that girl's alive;

Tell my mates to always stay safe,

And to never drink and drive.
