Like grotesque figures

They drove us to our fate

Hunched in corners of wire and metal

We begged for mercy

They only laughed:

"If only white, we would agree"

It was into the houses of Red

Into the hospitality of Hate

That they re-arranged our worlds

And tried, they did

To erase our past

And like the Traitors

They began a world 'humane

Forgot our legacy- -we drank the poison

And lost our world

To what they said was true Into the fire they through

Our lives and hopes

And like every-other

They tore our flesh from our bones

Separating it from its rightful place

To dump it upon their waste;

A waste known to us

A waste that was nothing but us.

Nothing moved, nothing happened

As the world around us

Faded from our grasp
