Clinging to a further clip
Blurred and speckled
Singeing the hairs and
Branding your scalp
The onus not all mine
But blame is easily struck
Pour it out and fill it up
Liquid molds to feed the form
Adding up to what we’re from
Flesh it out and stand it up
Hallowed in a glowing beam
Claustrophobic lungs inhaling
House fires cloud your brain
Fuck the stars they’re not for us
Our atmosphere cradles too tightly
We must write our vows
Sunday Best never make it to the car
Cigarette in hand you mumble under-breath
Across your forehead and down the wall
Slide beneath a penny in two
The rain let in and now we’re climbing
His eyes won’t let him look into mine
He won’t forgive my errant ways
Mooring through the night on a stream
Such recovery in a keeper’s keep
Revelry? I’ll take you down
Drugged and full and blurred
I am feeling temporary
Love, I will never mention it again
We’re relatively fucked, you know
I will erase them all and leave boundless
Some hazardous somber love
Heavy mitted but dismissed
