My dreams of him are few and far between,

like the rarest gem,

they remain unseen,

until I least expect them.

When I do dream of him,

my coming day is bright,

even if my hopes were dim,

the previous night.

For these dreams stick with me,

forever staying in my mind,

telling me without taking a fee,

that he is one of a kind.

I can't keep my love at bay,

no matter how hard I try.

Forever in my dreams, he will stay,

even if in real life, I have to say good-bye.

So even if I only see him in my dreams,

my true love for him will never waver,

and no matter how futile it all seems,

his real presence and my sweetest dreams, I will always savor.
