I wrote this poem recently. Its more intended to be an eye-opener. In the poem I explain the greed of humanity and its irreversible consequences. The last line is an illusion to the song Mama by My Chemical Romance.

Ashes fall as flames rise

Possession Possesses us all

We are slaves of our own greed

Nothing is owned or kept in the end

only lost in our internal and eternal darkness

Filling an insatiable abyss

We grieve the loss of what was never

And will never be truely ours

We will destroy anything

In order to take everything

So while the heat of our own destruction rises

Through fortune and flame we fall
