Like outgrowing a shoe you once adored
You throw out those petty feelings away
Like giving someone something they abhor
Offer emotions, not knowing what’s in store

I can’t believe what you just did to me
Made me too comfortable around you
Made me trust you too much, just why oh why?
Thought you were one who would just care, not lie

Made me helpless, just dying every minute
At the betrayal you had just committed
Why did you even try to invade my heart?
It was stupid for you to tear it apart

You have played with my heart all this time
Been so keen to disguise it out of fear
Hope you’re attacked by remorse and regret
This will be something that you won’t forget

I may be tears and and full of broken glass
But this might be the last time I’ll do this
Treading on these waters is too much right now
Just want to forget, yet I don’t know how.
