When a baby cries,

You see the streams of hurt in her eyes.

The last trail of hope dissolves away,

And her rope of dreams begins to fray.

You cry for her,

But you know she'll never hear you.

You call to her,

But never again shall answer.

You've tried your best,

But somehow it doesn't seem enough.

You saw all the stress,

But could never bring yourself to help.

When a baby cries,

You see the streams of hurt in her eyes.

The last trail of hope dissolves away

Only her spirit is left to stay.
