I wrote this poem after wondering if anybody who walks on the sidewalk notices the dead life on the ground. If you noticed, the first three stanzas are haikus.

The Fate of a Leaf

Leaves fall from their trees,

Dusk away and forgotten.

It dies with no hope.

Leaves fall from their trees,

It's fate is done decided.

It dies with no hope.

Leaves fall from their trees.

A ever ending journey,

It dies with no hope.

Never once in life,

Shall it have a simple grave?

Or go on forever,

With nothing to gain.
