One of my betters. I wrote this poem about being controlled by fear.

Confusion grips me
Into a tight bind,
Leaving me breathless;
Clouding my mind.

It whispers in my ear
Feeding me words; meanings jumbled
Claiming my mind.
My will to fight: crumbled.

The lifeless puppet;
My new name they bring.
Confusion my master;
Fear my string.

Dance puppet dance!
Come on, smile big for everyone
Dance puppet dance!
So they wont know what you’ve done.

Words to the wise
But puppets do not speak
Mouths sown shut;
Not a word may leak.

Dance puppet dance!
No one knows,
Dance puppet dance!
What lies behind the show.

Eyes dull and silent
Nothing shown there
"Hide and go seek"
Look but beware.

Dance puppet dance!
Can they not see?
Dance puppet dance!
What’s happened to me?

Strings pull left
Left then right
Dancing on stage
Puppets take flight

Dance puppet dance!
They look but not see
Dance puppet dance!
Knowing nothing of we.

Each of us puppets
Trapped in this place
An endless void
Behind each face.

Dance puppet dance!
Under misery’s control
Dance puppet dance!
Control that it stole.

Do not let fear string you
For soon to be seen;
Confusion your master
Together we dance this scene...

Dance puppets dance!

Dance puppets dance!
