A poem inspired when I was walking my dogs. I saw the sunrays shining through the clouds and I immediately began writing.

The clouds, I see, write poetry

To us their Earth-bound siblings.

The sunlight warms them- shines around them-

And pierces through my being.

Of rich, thickcream I'm to think,

And of searing blades,

When I feel the sunshine's warmth

Reaching through the panes.

There cannot be a word so soft-

Nor yet, a word so harsh-

To show the scorching blessedness

That is the sunlight's warmth.
