Today I remembered
The feelings that swirled
Inside of my soul
The day I met him,
And I suddenly smiled

I woke up confused
My brain going crazy
What really happened,
I wonder, I ponder
I walk and I stress

Then the picture
Of his charming face
Appears in my head
As some mechanism
Clicks slowly into place

Feeling awkward and dull
I let him go
No information
Not even an age
What made me so scared?

It is clear now
The reason for him
He came to show me
That I need more emotion
Can’t survive on mere strength

Winter is coming
And I want to get cozy
Under the blankets
In front of the fire
To sleep without waking

But I have to stay fresh
My spirit cannot rest
As I face life without shame,
Watching Adam return
To Cincinnati
