The night comes upon, the clock ticking by,
close to the change as the old year now flies.
Our lives and our issues the past of an era,
drinks down a plenty, singing in cheer.

As the new year is coming a bash it becomes,
the party is beginning and becoming such fun.
We laugh and frolic as the night is enjoyed,
adventure and excitement with happiness and joy.

The time comes around as we count down with cheer,
we all lift our glasses and sing to the new year.
Poppers are banging and confetti covers the floor,
music is playing now with a tremendous roar.

Fireworks aplenty firing like a kaleidoscope war,
a year that has just started, the beginning of memoirs.
A promise to the New Year that we try to obey,
as we all sing the words to “Auld Land Syne”.

A clean slate to whisper for new hopes and dreams,
another year has started, a chance to redeem.
So cheers to the New Year as resolutions arrive,
no moment like the present while the New Year is alive.
