I sat here stiff as a board
The fear is beginning to slowly shiver up my spine

Then quickly as if it was building up
pressure, it shot through my veins
as if its very existence was to escape

Not being able to break out from its cell
It continues, forcefully, revolving through
my endless blood flow

My heart begings to race
as the possibilites run continuosley
through my feared thoughts

My knees begin to buckle
as my stability crumbles
A weakness I have felt many times before

My nerves mesh into a giant ball
rollercoasting from side to side
as it prepares itself for the upcoming fall

My throat beings to dry and as if there has
been a drought my esophogus cracks
like a dropped crystal ball

As if it was the calm before the storm
the very thought of what could be
comes crashing in like the highest tide

Moistening the once dry grooves
a bitter tastes over flows
spilling out over the tiny buds that lay on my tongue

The fear has won and I will fall
hitting the ground with a loud thump
as if it were a concrete wall

I shouldn't have let this overcome me
I should have let my inner self prepare me
I should have stood up for my ground more quickly

Now it's to late, theres nothing I can change
Instead of saying what should have been done
Now all people can say is what could we have done
