Here I sit

As tears of pain

rain on my parade,

I try so hard to let things go

and just as I believe I am doing so

here it comes, once again

the past it just won't leave.

I try to say the hell with it

A fresh start is what we need

Though an agreement was thought to be obtained

And I wipe the slate of the past clean

Here I sit

As tears of pain

rain on my parade

There you stand choosing to lie

choosing to conive

How can I ever let things be

If you won't possibly let me?

How can I learn to trust again,

If all you do is betray me instead,

What have I done for this outcome to apply?

Why do you insist on continuing to lie?

Though an agreement was thought to be obtained

I don't see how you make it apparent this is how you want it to be,

Not with the way you go about things

Not with the way you try and control things,

Don't you know you can't have control?

Don't you know that we can't start new

If starting new begins the way that it has end?

I try and let this go,

Shrug it off so you won't know,

The truth is once again

I wipe the slate of the past clean,

Here's your chance to try again

Please believe me when I say, I forgive you with everything

Please think before you act,

Please think about what we have?

Please don't let that go to waste

By starting again the same way that is has end.

Here I sit

As tears of pain

Start their path down my face,

Please continue to try and let go,

Please believe me when I say we can get through this,

We can do this.

Here I sit

As Tears of pain

Start their path down my face,

As they begin to rain on my parade,

Our friendship is what we need now

Lets not ruin it by doubt.

Here I sit,

I am letting go,

The tears of pain begin to drain,

No longer will they rain on my parade.

Will you let go with me,

Will you start anew?
