Drowning in myself

Why should I care when
Those around me fall by the 10’s?

They see you struggling,

But don’t throw out a life line.

They know you’re drowning,

And yet all they do is stare

Why should I care when no one cared for me.

You all left and forgot me

Allowed room for the probing fingers,

introduced the snarling faces

Leaving me to myself

For complaining was for the weak.

What do I do? I let it happen,

Close my eyes until the pain has gone

And when it does I wait in silence,

For the next time.

One day ill be all alone and there

Wont be any finger, no one to poke

No faces, no one to stare and smile

While they watch me fade away.
