The ground feels cold as I lie shivering,

The tendrils of darkness pluck at my pain,

The leaves of my consciousness silently withering,

The faces of comrades on the battlefield. Slain.

My body is broken, I'm ready for death.

For Queen and for country. I take my last breath.
