He waits in his bedroom for the noise to die down

He lies on the floor with his eyes to the door

Waiting and listening for him just once more

Another hit what could it do?

Leaves a bruise on her arm and him all alone

Her face is so purple and her body so still

He is helpless alone on the floor

His steps come closer, and then reach the door

He slips under the bed and close to the floor

Just one more hit, what could it do?

Leave a bruise on his arm and her all alone

His tiny feet dangle and face is so flush

She gets up to take off the cuff on her wrist

Hits him once and falls so safe.

She picks up her baby

Holds him so tight

Till the last breathe he breaths

Then she wipes her tears away with her sleeve
