I chose her because…

I chose her because she gave me the world

Her hands held me tight as I lay close to her at night

Her look means nothing I know you will judge

We are who we are and so much In love

When darkness falls she gave me light

I chose her because she knows what to say to make things right

When you give us doubt and make me feel like falling

She picks me up and tells me

“just keep walking”

The world is against us I know this is a true

Two girls in love

That’s not what society is made to pursue

I chose her because she makes feel safe

While in a man’s arms I was a show case

There was no respect and no caring

Although the bedroom he was nothing but loving

I chose her because my thoughts are different

To love is normal

But for you it’s not

You are perfect and ordinary

While we are unusual and weird to the world

I chose her because you all look past what a real girl has to offer
