“What happens to parents when space is limited in the heart and homes of their children? Old-age homes have become popular in Bangalore. The traditional structure of a family of Bangalore is turning into a fast, racy lifestyle, where ambitious youth are discarding the old values and in turn, their parents.
The parents are forced to live out their old age alone. An old man, once the head of the family is now a subdued member of a house of strangers. The woman who once happily cooked three meals a day is now forbidden from entering the community kitchen. There are no phones in the old-age centre, and the residents know no one will ask for them. The wrinkles on their faces are as pronounced as the pains of being discarded. There eyes are searching for the love which they have gave for there children’s. Every day they are living in a hope of going back to there home and stay with their children’s and grand-children’s.
Why this country has lost there feeling, love, affection which where showed on there parents when they where growing. Why they have became so busy, they don’t even have time to spend few minutes with there parents. What has happened to them is this happening because of there work or influencing by society or surrounding, do they lost their humanity on their own parents its self.

They have forgotten that they are not only leaving there parents but also the old poor people who are now in need of love and time of their children’s and grand-children’s. Never forget that there will be time where you will be old and your children will push to the same old age home.
Before joining them to old age home once you go and leave at least for 1 week then you will know the pain, struggle, what they will be suffering. Those rude nurses who speak without any care and manhandling, the tasteless food, unclean room, medicines smell. Please don’t hurt them anymore they don’t required any rich life they need only you.
The you from where you have got any identity from them just from then.

A very telling story. My youth in Florida,U.S.A was spent waiting tables and building modular condominiums. Very low wages for sustaining a very poor lifestyle. Now I live in one.
