Here's a poem I wrote to discuss the strong love I have for my parents.

Caribbean dark skin-- color of strength and loyalty.

Rough hands made for labor of eternity

The decades have run its course; Skin wrinkled, hair iron grey, bones weak.

No divorce yet the love have ceased way back

1996 to be exact

The errors have been unforgettable. Hostility in and out. Unbearable.

Now and forever I will follow what you want me to be at all costs.

I’ll always take care of y’all… the strongest souls alive.

There was hate but I now appreciate the pain & suffrage

I promise that your dedication in me will survive.
