An Ode to death

When a light fades from one man’s eye,
A glazed stare from the unseeing to the sky.
Utter your final breathe as your soul frees the earth
From one existence to another, from death… comes birth.
Enter twilight, enter light, enter eternal plight.
The sins of the sinner, and the gracious falling of the light.
Behold the beauty as the flutter of clothe pales the gleam.
A second stands still an hour lingers eternal.
Behold the scythe in clasped in the hand of death infernal.
The flutter from the wings of a butterfly,
Out roar the crescendo of the falling tool
As man departs with the slightest of ease.
Into the chaos of the ether where naught is all that matters.
Smiles of the sickles and deaths friendly hand.
Devoid of emotion… feeling… reason beyond duty.
A plea is a noise upon ears that care not,
And who knows, in your departure you shall be forgot.
