I see the little girl

So small and frightened

Shoved in the small closet

Afraid to move

The darkness held her fears

The darkness held her tears

But the light was worse

The light was a nightmare

When the door opened

And light came in

So did the spiders

So did the pain

I watched as the girl screamed

She was fragile and small

But still she screamed

But the spiders still came

With their many eyes and endless hands

They came

They touched the little girl

They ripped her clothes

They ripped her hair

They cut and hurt her

And all I could do was watch

I watched

I felt

I screamed

I remembered

Then I woke

I am the little girl
