My big brother
Is in the black parade
All his friends and family
Are in the black parade
We are all here
For my big brother

My big brother
Is in the black parade
He’s the only one in a float
I don’t know why
He is hiding
Deep inside the wooden float

My big brother
Is in the black parade
A man and his gun
My brother the hero
Yet everyone is crying
Crying for the hero

My big brother
Was in the black parade
It is over now
But my mom still cries
She smiles and says
“It’s ok; your brother is in heaven”

My big brother
Was in a black parade
I want to tell my mom
But I don’t have the heart
Heaven is not in the ground
At the end of a black parade
