The bittersweet oceans
Poem by: sisilia curuso
The sun has set upon the shore into a millon bittersweet shades.
A blazing apricot cast, flushing out the coral pigements rushing across the horizon.
the aquamarine current swirls the air with a fresh salt taste.
The rush of waves crashing against my skin sends goose bumps shivering up my legs.
The crackle of the waves flashes me back to shards of ice slashing into the icey cement on a cold winter morning.
I crinkle my nose as trinkles of small water drops tickle on to my face.
The grains under my feet soon dissolving into sluge between my toes.
warm breezes bring the swift scent of honey dew and small cherry blossom trees.
