Throughout the path of life

I sometimes find myself running

Moving through it rather quickly

The only problem I experienced

Is that I missed the cliff ahead

And I fell quickly to the bottom

I injured myself pretty bad,

Being that I was really hurt

I could only continue slowly

I tried to move on in my life

Going along as fast as I could

My life, however, is now limited

As I am quite broken from the fall,

I continue along the path

But slower and in pain

I never move along like I used to

Being I have crashed off the cliff

For not looking where I was going

I now wish I had paid attention

Such as now I could be running

Instead of hobbling along

The great path of life
