Broken glass, on the floor
I saw it as I came
Through the door
Where were they?
I couldn’t see.
Fate had much more
In store for me
Broken glass, in the halls
Up the stairs
Where he silently falls
I came into the room
Where I was filled
With utmost gloom
Broken glass in the room
That had recently been made a tomb
I felt the girl’s slender form
And knew that she would be forever mourned
Broken glass, such a waste
I thought
As I ran away from
That godforsaken place
