Sometimes an individual witnesses or experiences an event that pushes them too hard. It holds a person back from taking a chance in the future, to save themeselves from the risk of pain.

When a fragile human is a witness to something destructive,

They are forever affected.

Some souls get so very broken within,

That impedes them from ever embracing that which could have been.

To avoid returning to that troublesome past,

To escape the risk,

To escape the pain.
