I've had a lot of pain
In my life
A lot of temptation
And a lot of strife
I'm fallen down
And been bruised and beaten
And through it all
I keep on singing
If you give your brokenness
To Jesus
He will make beautiful things
Out of your dust

Heat smolders my hope
And smoke smothers my lungs
But I know its alright
Because I won't take flight
I'm not done
God's got more things
For me
The trouble in my life
Fall at my feet
In ashes and heat
I step out of the rubble
Free, from what He found me in
I have a testimony
And I'm beautiful
God loves me
That's where my vanity comes from
Not on the outside, but in
Heart
Where Jesus was knocking
From the very start
