This is a poem that I wrote a few years ago and I just stumbled upon again.

The thoughts in my head seem so twisted,

But I suffer in silence;

People say that I'm insane,

But have they had this experience?

I am lost when a map guides me,

I am grieving when things are right;

I am alone in a room that's full,

In laughter, I feel spite.

What does "love" mean?

What does "faith mean?

I'll tell you what I think,

I think it's obscene!

It's disgusting, it's cruel,

To put these thoughts in our heads,

To get our hopes up,

So they can fall dead.

I just don't understand how people imagine sunshine

When they are living in rain.

I am so confused,

My thoughts drive me insane.
