You sent me to live in these crushed shadows,

Hidden from the fading light.

The silence deafens me,

But it's the only sound I want to hear.

I stand to face the water,

It's white crested waves.

I hear your voice echo in my mind,

You warn me of the danger.

Raising my arms above my head,

Soaking up your voice.

I look up to the roaring clouds,

Creep closer to the edge.

I hear your scream,

The anger at my defiance.

The rock bites into my feet, as I push off the cliff,

And I fall into the icey water.

The currents pull and push me,

Rip me against the rocks.

The new pain coming,

To erase the old.

What did I do to have to live with this,

This emptyness in my soul.

Your words ripped a hole into my chest,

Helped the black to claim me.

The salt water burned its way down my throat,

It filled into my lungs.

I saw your procelien face,

Heard your velvet voice.

I suffocated in the water,

That's what they'll say.

They'll say I fell and drown,

But you know better.

I drowned in the pain you caused.
