I'm searching for something,

For someone.

I can't let myself hope,

Let myself trust,

Just to fall again,

Now with no emptyness to comfort me.

I never find you,

And I scream myself awake,

No one hears me,

And no one knows i'm out here,

I can feel the strong hands,

Lifting into the arms,

Only he knows I was here,

Because he knows me all to well.

I hear him humm my lullaby,

A secret treasure to my ears,

Hidden under the floorboards,

I find myself.

It closes the hole,

Just to leave a scar,

To know i'm broken,

And not to care.
