If you had your heart ripped out and stomped on, where would you go to hide.

I opened my eyes,

To finally see the stars.

Yet, hidden by the frilled fingers,

In this sea of green.

Above me,

The canopy of trees.

The tears of the rain roll,

Fall and linger, to slide down my face.

Were they truley the tears of the sky?

Or the tears of mine own eyes?

The earth held me tight,

Yet embrace the embrace was cold.

I close my eyes and curl up tight,

Wishing to disperse into the air,

To soak into the ground like the dew.

As the rain,

I would fall all around you.

And feel you again,

I know them now, my tears.

They fall in trails,

Washing the dirt from me.

My comatose numbness,

To close the hole in my chest.
