poem about memories

Bottled nostalgia

Memories kept in a jar

Tin cans full of life lessons

Stories you can replay when the memory's too far

A perfume that reminds you

Of all the choices you have made

All the tales that lead up

To the person that you had became

Were you meaning "Nostalgia"?
Still a great read and a fantastic poem. Can't wait for more. :)

Thank you lol and yes, that's what I meant, but I'm too lazy to go back and change the title at the moment

Hey, you're back! Good to see. I've been going through a nostalgic phase, listening to music that brings back good memories. Sometimes you just need a blast from the past. Good poem, nice and light. Happy to see you writing again! :)

Yeah lol I guess I kinda got sidetracked between school and family issues. I've actually written a few more things too but I'm not done going over them yet, so it'll be awhile before I post anything else. It's good to be back though lol

Nicely done, short and sweet, and well worded.

Melancholic Wisdom

Nostalgia is an interesting thing, it's really a one sided affair. I can be nostalgic for aspects of my childhood but then yet straight up ignore all of the bad shit. I don't actually get nostalgic too often, but definitely something like music or games can really take me back to times that I don't even remember, or never even thought I could remember. Your poem is great, by the way. Short, but sweet and well written, straight to the point. Great work!

Thank you. I find myself nostalgic a lot lately, especially at the time that I wrote this. Usually a certain smell takes me back (not a Twenty-One Pilots reference). I live in Illinois and sometimes I get the smell of a factory in Decatur that I remember smelling when I lived in Pana as a small(er) child. But lately it'll be anything. Anyways, thank you for the read and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
